4 1/4-cup servings
2 1/44 cups (12 ounces) frozen blueberries, or 2% cups fresh blueberries (stems removed) plus 1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 

In a saucepan over low heat, mix the blueberries, vinegar, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and cloves. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. Serve hot or cold
